Details: A half day course designed to introduce participants to the principles and basics of First Aid. This course is designed to provide the learner with the understanding, knowledge and practical skills required to provide and coordinate first aid in the workplace in compliance with the requirements of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2007 and its accompanying Regulations and Guidelines.

This Adult First Aid course teaches you how to respond to life-threatening emergencies.

The course focuses on primary care and includes the following:

  • CPR.
  • Choking.
  • Serious Bleeding Management.
  • Burns. Etc.

We ensure that on completion you have full confidence in your ability to provide care when emergency situations arise.

General Aims

This course is designed to enable the learner to:

  • Understand the responsibilities of the  first aider
  • Provide treatment for the purpose of preserving life or minimising the consequences of injury until discharge or the arrival of medical assistance
  • Provide treatment  for an injury which does not require the attention of a medical practitioner or nurse

 Objectives: This course is suited to provide individuals with the necessary skills to deal with the most common day to day emergencies likely to be encountered.

Method: The course is highly interactive, with demonstrations and practical tasks.

Certification: On completion of the course, participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance.
