Parent First Aid (First Aid fundamentals)

Details: A comprehensive and practical 2 and a half hour course which is designed for parents and grandparents who will look after children as a primary responsibility.

Objectives: This course is suited to parents, grandparents or childcare providers/babysitters who attend to children and infants as primary carers.

  • Infant and child choking
  • Burns
  • Bleeding
  • Meningitis
  • Temperature Related Illnesses
  • Strains + Sprains
  • Insect stings
  • Poisoning
  • Minor Injuries and much more

Method: The course is highly interactive with each theory session being followed by demonstration, and practical tasks .

Attendees: Parents, grandparents, older siblings or babysitters who wish to be competent in the provision of First Aid assistance.

Requirements: None.

Certification: On completion of the course  participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance which is valid for two years.

Duration: 2 and ½ hours

Maximum number of participants: 12
